Abstract
At the time of the photovoltaic winter, a closed-door meeting has sparked new expectations in the industry.
On October 14, the China Photovoltaic Industry Association held a symposium in Shanghai to prevent vicious competition in the industry. It is reported that 16 photovoltaic backbone enterprises participated in the meeting and reached a consensus of "anti-internal volume".
Since the fourth quarter of 2023, the photovoltaic industry has gradually fallen into a vicious circle of irrational competition, the industry ecology is becoming worse, and the survival situation of enterprises is not optimistic. The arrival of this closed-door meeting, can break the current competition deadlock in the photovoltaic industry? Can it become a signal that PV returns to the basics?
Leading companies take the lead in reaching a consensus
Before the official disclosure of the symposium by the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, relevant news has been passed out, and the market is particularly looking forward to this.
Although the specific content of the closed-door meeting is not yet known, combined with the "Notice on holding a Symposium to Prevent Vicious Competition in the Industry" disclosed by a number of media (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"), there are three items on the agenda of the meeting, which are:
To discuss the self-regulatory convention on "anti-roll-in competition, anti-below-cost dumping" and other content;
We will discuss measures to address the imbalance between supply and demand and eliminate excess capacity in an orderly manner.
To discuss other suggestions on guiding the healthy and orderly development of the industry.
